Arabic Language

Arabic is the key to unlocking the vast treasures of Islamic knowledge. Without it, one’s perception and grasp of the religion is restricted similar to one who peeks through a keyhole to catch a glimpse of a magnificent room. Having access to the Arabic language is like one who is standing in the centre of this magnificent room looking freely and absorbing its full grandeur.

Accordingly, this section contains topics related to the study of the Classical Arabic. It is hoped this will assist students in grasping rules and concepts related to Arabic grammar and morphology which may be difficult for some in the beginning.

Without grasping the fundamentals of the Arabic language, it is extremely difficult to correctly understand the Qurʾān and Sunnah through the aid of Arabic speaking scholars and their written works – both contemporary and classical.

I ask Allāh to bless us with a strong command of Classical Arabic so that we can understand His Book, the Sunnah of His Messenger and the works of those who follow in the footsteps of the Salaf.
