01 Actions Are Only by Intentions

 

Arabic Transliteration Translation
الْحَدِيث al-adīth tradition, narration, report
الأَوَّل al-awwal the first
عَنْ ʿan from, on the authority of, as attested or declared by
أَمِير amī commander, leader
الْمُؤْمِنِين al-muʾminīn (manṣūb form of al-muʾminūn) believers, those who have faith (īmān)
أَبُو abū father (of)
حَفْص af   lion
رَضِيَ raiya (he) was pleased, satisfied, content
عَنْ ʿan with, about
هُ hu him
قَالَ qāla )he( said
سَمِعْتُ samiʿtu

(samiʿa + tu)

I heard
رَسُول rasūl Messenger
صَلَّى ṣallā (he) praised
عَلَيهِ ʿalayhi

(ʿala + hu)

upon him
وَ wa and
سَلَّمَ sallama (he) preserved, protected
إِنَّمَا innamā

(inna +mā)

only, nothing but
