68 Knowledge is Better than Optional Worship
Ḥudhayfah b. al-Yamān, may Allāh be pleased with them both, said that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said, “The virtue of knowledge is better than the virtue of worship, and the best of your religion is cautiousness against doubtful matters.” Reported by al-Ṭabarānī in al-Awsaṭ and al-Bazzār with a fair chain.
Graded ṣaḥīḥ li ghayrih by al-Albānī in Ṣaḥīḥ al-Targhīb (68).
86 Reward for Going to the Masjid to Learn or Teach
Abū Umāmah, may Allāh be pleased with him, reported from the Prophet ﷺ that he said, “Whoever sets out to the masjid, not intending except to learn something good or to teach it, he will have a similar reward of a Ḥajj pilgrim whose Ḥajj is complete.” Reported by al-Ṭabarānī in al-Awsaṭ and al-Bazzār with a fair chain.
Graded ḥasan ṣaḥīḥ by al-Albānī in Ṣaḥīḥ al-Targhīb (86).
